Quick Overview

Protection against shock and fire hazards during EV charging requires detection of AC and DC residual fault currents. This can be achieved by the use of dedicated RCD's for EV Charging. The following are the relevant IEC product standards covering protective devices for use in Mode 2, Mode 3 and Mode 4 EV charging.

Details

Residual current circuit-breakers (RCCBs) are components for implementing protective measure "Automatic switch-off of power supply" as per VDE 0100 part 410 or corresponding international installation regulations. Our Type B RCD's come in compact two or four-pole residual current circuit-breakers. The devices are designed for AC and pulsating DC residual currents for three-phase networks but can also be used in single-phase networks

Type B RCD. high immunity against transient leakage and residual currents thanks to slow tripping response, meets the requirements of design regulations VDE 0664-10, VDE 0664-40
